DC Hi-Fi Group September 2018 Meeting
With the advent of Fall, DCHFG moved to a new venue in Alexandria, Virginia. The prepared demo featured the Amphion Argon 3S speakers, Prism Sound Callia USB Audiophile DAC and Pre-amplifier, and the DIY Amp Camp Amp Class A amplifier. With no advanced planning, the little amplifier that could was able to drive the Argon 3S speakers to a pleasing level in a relatively large room. DCHFG June 23rd Meeting Open to Non-Members
The DCHFG June 23 open meeting will feature a demo of the MartinLogan Expression electrostatic loudspeakers ($15,000) at the historic Garrett Park Town Hall in Garrett Park Maryland. ML Sales Manager, Dennis Cern, will demonstrate hires music and vinyl via a playback system that includes an Accuphase E-270 and a Pass Labs X350.8 amplifier, Pass XP-12 preamplifier, Alpha Core single-conductor cables and Essential Sound Products Essence II power products. Field Trip: DCHFG @ Rogue Audio 05/19/18
On the inaugural field trip, a score of DCHFG members hit the road for a factory tour of Rogue Audio. DCHFG Founder/President John Gatski filed this report: More than twenty DCHFG members traversed the freeways and back roads of Pennsylvania May 19th to visit the new Rogue Audio factory.
