DCHFG Meeting – 10/25/2025 – Mola Mola
We gathered at Ron’s for a demonstration of the current equipment lineup from Mola Mola. Listening session featured the upgraded, Mola-Mola Kula ($16,790) integrated 200-watt, N-Core based amplifier; the well-reviewed Tambaqui DAC ($13,500); and the newly upgraded Lupe phono preamp ($9,850). The DAG playback system includes Totem Acoustic Metal V2 reference speakers and a Kronos Sparta turntable with Sonic Labs Signature Gold cartridge. We assembled at Gerry’s once again for a presentation by Voo Audio and Voo DIY speakers. Vinh Vu has created a fascinating twist on DIY speakers by providing a fully built speaker cabinet in a choice of several finishes along with all the speaker parts needed to complete the speaker. A new pair of speakers can be completed in an afternoon. DCHFG Meeting- 06/07/2025 – SOTA Turntables, etc
Ken Wolff, noted Classical music instructor, a busy performing musician, and a key promoter of all things vinyl, presented the latest Sota Sapphire turntable, equipped with a Sorane 1.2 tonearm and Kuhmar MC cartridge. Speakers were the Alta Audio Alyssa SE loudspeakers. The system also included the high-end Korf Audio headshell, Luxman EQ-500 phono stage, Advanced Paris line preamp, and AGD Monoblocks (Gan-Fet Class D output amplifiers). Associated equipment included Wireworld Eclipse cables. The Raffle.
Audio Hunters Martin Logan – Hegel Event – 05-17-2025
